"One of the world's 10th largest museums of natural history" is how the California Academy of Science is known around the world.
This museum is the United State's oldest museum. It lies in the Golden Gate Park area in the city of San Francisco.
The museum houses the Morrison Planetarium and the Steinhart Aquarium within its premises. The academy started as a society of learned people in the year 1853 and research is still an active part of this academy of sciences.
Visitors get a three-in-one entertainment in this academy. It houses a museum, an aquarium and a planetarium.
They can learn about every aspect of this area. A new Coral Reef exhibit is also included in this exhibit. The huge 212,000 gallon water tank contains nearly four thousand fish, which normally live in deep water.
