Union Square is known as the third largest shopping area in San Francisco. This area was established by the first mayor of the city in 1849. It became shopping epi-center in early 1900s and there are upscale hotels and stores which surround this square. Union square is almost 2.6 acres of plaza which has the largest collection of department stores and art galleries too.
