San Jose is the third largest city in California and it is tenth largest city in the United States. It is located in the southern end of Bay Area, a region normally known as Silicon Valley. The San Jose Area has a freeway system including Interstate Freeways –I-280, I-880 and I-680 and in addition to several states and US highways - US 101, SR 85, SR 87, SR 17, and SR 237. Besides San Jose surrounds with many expressways of the Santa Clara County Expressway System including the Almaden Expressway, Capitol Expressway, San Tomas Expressway and Lawrence Expressway. The rail services are also provided by Amtrak within in and around San Jose, again ACE is a commuter rail service to Pleasanton and Stockton and more comfortable service is the local light rail system connecting downtown to Mountain View, Milpitas, Campbell and Almaden Valley that are operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).
