Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport is situated in the north west of San Jose in Santa Clara County in California and is the smallest of the 3 Bay area airports.
The airport handled more than ten million passengers in 2006. The airport covers a total area of 1,050 acres and has 2 terminals and 3 runways.
The airport has a number of airlines operating from here including commercial, general aviation, air taxis and military as well.
The commercial airlines include American airlines, Southwest airlines, Hawaiian airlines, Delta airlines, Alaska airlines, Continental airlines and more. There are plans to expand the terminals and add new check in counters and security checkpoints to facilitate the large growing crowds.
The airport has several facilities for the transportation of passengers to and from the airport such as shuttle buses, taxis, rental cars and limousines.
