Hearst Castle, a palatial estate, was built by William Randolph Hearst who is a newspaper magnate. It is located on a hill which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Hearst Castle is now a National Historic Landmark and a State Historical Monument. It features 19 sitting rooms, 61 bathrooms, 56 bed rooms, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, 127 acres of gardens, a movie theater, tennis courts, private zoo and an air field.
