The Santa Barbara Bowl is a 4,562 seat amphitheater which is situated in Santa Barbara. Built in 1936 as a WPA project, it is used for special events and concerts. The original stage was a revolving wooden stage but it was replaced in 1939 with a concrete stage. This in return was replaced in 2002 with a new stage. This theater has become a home for the performing arts in Santa Barbara.
