This is a Certified Farmers’ Market, established in 1978. This is organized and managed by the City of Santa Monica. This market enabled the Californian farmers to sell their own produce directly to consumers at locations designed by the Department of Agriculture. In addition to the fresh, organic produce and cut flowers, Artisanal cheese and gourmet breads, the market offers live music, chef exhibitions and many free samples. The Sunday market also offers pony rides and face painting.
