Tourist Guide Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada is the alpine region of California casing a huge portion of the State’s inland territory. The region has a number of national parks and forests nestled between Rocky Mountains and breathtaking canyons.
Mount Whitney is one of the highest peaks in the neighboring US states along with the giant Sequoias which happen to be the largest living things on the Earth.
Majority of the cities and towns located in this Sierra Nevada region are Ski resorts or gateways to the parks in the area.
The national parks in this region attract travelers from all over the world with the major attraction being Yosemite along with other natural wonders. The prime tourist season is during early fall and spring season.
Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks are situated across main region of Sierra Nevada in the east- central California region. The entire region is full of alpine lakes, granite peaks and deep canyons.
