Clever Planetarium is a science centre which has a screen in the form of an aluminium dome that shows night sky projections from various planetarium telescopes. Stockton Asparagus Festival is celebrated on the 4th weekend of April. It is a 3 day festival packed with various events celebrating the agriculturally important asparagus with song, dance, food and vendors.
Haggin Museum, which is now seventy years old, presents a mixture of history and undertakings of the past residents and has noted artist’s works on demonstration. Some rotating exhibits like the Age of Armour Family Festival even include a hands-on approach for medieval crafts while watching combat related displays. Pixie Woods Amusement Park is a family-oriented seasonal theme park that is over 50-years old.
The park has merry-go-rounds, a picnic area, interesting boat rides and trains. Stockton Civic Theatre should be another attraction on the must-visit list. This theatre is a showplace for regional art performances and 6 different plays are performed per season. A great way to relax is the San Joaquin Delta River Cruise, which comes fully equipped with a snacks area, a bar and a commentary from a notable historian.
