Temecula is a metropolis of the southwest Riverside County, California, United States. The northwest and southern region of the city is bordered by Murrieta and Pechanga Indian Reservation respectively. The altitude of the city is nearly 1,175 feet.
Temecula follows a Pacific Time Zone and the city experience a Mediterranean climate. The city appears dry and hot during the summers and wet and cool during the winter season. As per the census of 2000, the total population of the city was around 57,716.
Temecula Street Painting Festival, Temecula Bluegrass Festival etc are the major events of the city. Leidschendam-Voorburg and Daisen are the sister cities of Temecula with whom the city maintains international relations. The city was discovered in the year 1989. California sate Route 79, Interstate 215 and Interstate 15 are the major highways that serve the city. Temecula Prep, Van Avery Prep, Hillcrest Academy, Line filed Christian School are the major private schools of the city.
