Altamont Raceway Park is a race track which conducts motorsports and is located in the Alameda Country. The Park was initially opened in 1966 and has operated under different names.
Some of the racetrack configurations of the Raceway Park are ¼ mile oval, figure 8 track, ½ mile oval and 1.1 mile road course.
This track is regarded as the largest oval racetrack to the north of Los Angeles.
