Colonial Street is in the heart of Universal City on the upper side. Some of the films and serials were filmed at the houses at the street and were witness to the films set used like Leave it to Beaver, Animal house, Harper Valley PTS and many such TV series adaptations. This street has a mixture of homes and other buildings and is an intentional mixture giving the studio a number of architectural styles to draw upon. By 1981, Universal relocated Colonial Street and other set of streets to the west end of the back lot. The houses were assembled in different order with new Colonial Street.
