Tourist Guide Vallejo
Vallejo lies in the San Francisco Bay region on the north shore of San Pablo Bay in Solano County in California, USA.
The city covers a total area of 48.8 sq miles and has a population of 116,760, with the third highest percentage of Filipino Americans. The city was named after the Californian politician and military commander, Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, who founded the city in 1851.
Vallejo is blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate with gentle breezes from the waterfront. It is similar to the weather in San Francisco but just a little bit warmer. Rainfall is average and occurs mainly between October and April.
The sulphur springs found here at Southampton Fault and Springs Valley Thrust Fault attracted a number of tourists in the past and the region was also named the ‘Blue Rock Springs’.
