Tourist Guide Woodland Hills
Woodland Hills, a district in the Los Angeles City is in California. It is situated in the south-western region of San Fernando Valley, west of the Tarzana and northeast of the Calabasas. The Woodland Hills is bordered by Canoga Park, West Hills and Winnetka on the north. The climate of Woodland Hills is characterised by hot and dry summers and mild and rainy winters. Woodland Hills has a very hot climate during the summer season. In the year 2006, it had the highest temperature in Los Angeles County of about 48°C. The precipitation in this area ranges between 17 and 23 inches per annum. The typical Mediterranean vegetation in this area includes lavender, citrus, Cyprus, rosemary and others. The population of the Woodland Hills is roughly 70,000 according to the census of 2000. There is a trading area known as Warner Centre which includes hotels, buildings and shopping malls; a horse ranch; a chief transit hub in the Woodland Hills. The name Woodland Hills refers to all the trees planted in the earlier years by Victor Gigard Kleinberger, who is the founder of this town.
