Tourist Guide Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is mostly located in the Mariposa and Tuolumne Counties of California in the United States. Falling on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, the Yosemite National Park has a total area of 3,081 sq km.
Due to its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the region experiences a Mediterranean climate. The average temperature at the Tuolumne end of the park is –3.9°C to 11.5°C.
At the Mariposa end of the park, the average temperature is 2.2°C to 19.4°C. Those areas having an elevation above 2,440 m are often subjected to summer thunderstorms.
Yosemite National Park has the abundance of natural beauty. It boasts of some beautiful glaciers, 3,200 lakes and two reservoirs.
Rewarded with the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984, the park attracts about 3.5 million visitors annually.
