Situated partly in Fulton County and partly in Clayton County in Georgia, USA, the city of College Park covers an area of 25.2 sq km and has a population of around 20,000. The area is characterized with hills and flat plains.
The climate in summer is warm with an average temperature of 21°C. In winter, the climate is cold with an average temperature of 4°C. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year.
The city was established in 1896 along the Atlanta-Westpoint Railway. Formerly known as Manchester, the city was renamed College Park as it was home to Cox College.
Also home to the largest private school in the USA Woodward Academy, the city’s economy is significantly dependent on the students that come to College Park. A mild climate coupled with a peaceful atmosphere is gradually turning the city into a tourist attraction.
