Ben Lomond: Attractions and more...
Ben Lomond is a very small area and is not sufficient to create some large man made masterpieces or wonders but this place can give the visitors some small surprises. The Newell Creek passes through this town. The Loch Lomond Reservoir is built upon this creek. This river is used to cool things off a bit during the summers and is also used for relaxation by the locals. Various water-related activities are being thought of in this place. A small place and eatery which is very famous here is the ‘Wagon Wheel Bar and Restaurant’ which hosts some very good recipes and some of the country’s oldest and best wines. If heights excite you, a trip to the Ben Lomond Mountain, also known as the ‘Beacon Peak’ can be worth a trip. It has a staggering height of 3,200 feet. Many other attractions have sprung up at its foothills. This area is considered as Historic by the administration. This peak can be seen from the Ben Nevis, which is the highest peak in Britain.
