The Country Boy Mine was known as one of the largest and the most popular gold mines in Breckenridge amidst the Rocky Mountains. At present, one can venture over 1,000 feet into the mountain and explore the original works of the mine, feel, hear and even smell it as it was over 100 years ago. With an elevation of 9,930 feet, the mine was established in 1887. The mine museum offers the visitors with a sneak peak at the life of the 18th century pioneers through its fun filled tours of the mine.
