Tourist Guide Burlington
As per US Census Bureau, area of Burlington on the whole is 5.4 sq. Km (all land).
Originally, Burlington had been laid out a mile on the western side of its location at present. This was during the late 19th century. Such a thing can be attributed to a person called ‘Lowell’ in the anticipation of railroad’s arrival. Apart from having location wrong, this person didn’t have title to land either. Upon arrival of railroad, the depot (of railways) was built on Burlington’s present site. Moreover, those who constructed their homes in ‘Old Burlington’ before went on to have moved their bases to novel townsite. Trains started running in the year 1888.
The population as per 2000 census was 3678.
