This is a mountain situated on the Summit County at a distance of 75 miles on the west of Denver in the Colorado region.
This place is more popularly known as a ski resort which was inaugurated in late 1972 though it is operated and owned by Intrawest. The mountains provide excellent golfing, mountain biking activities especially in the warmer months. This is famous for the wide variety of naturally alienated terrain.
The unique feature of this ski area is that it houses beginner slopes on the western part of the mountain, in the center one shall find intermediate slopes and expert terrain is located on the eastern part of the mountain.
Situated at height of 12,000 feet which include Copper and Union peaks are known as the “double black diamond”.
There are four bowls only for experts namely Resolution Bowl, Copper Bowl, Spaulding Bowl and Union Bowl. The Copper Mountains is the largest resort in terms of area.
