The Cortez Cultural Center is housed in a 1909 historic building. It has displays on American Indian culture and archaeology, interpretive exhibits on Basketmaker and Pueblo periods of the Ancestral Pueblo people, the Navajo tribes and the Mountain Ute. There is a mural on the back of the building which depicts a traditional pueblo. Here, at the center, there are programs scheduled during the summer months.
