An interesting fact is that Cripple Creek is previous ‘gold mining’ camp situated at the distance of 71 kilometers on the southwestern side of Colorado Springs adjacent to foot of ‘Pikes Peak’.

This city, in fact, lies in ‘Thirtynine Mile volcanic field’. Gold was discovered in the nearby surfaces. However, at depth, unoxidized sulphides and tellurides were found.
