Denver has its own “King Kong” of sorts and you’ll see him as you approach the Colorado Convention Center. He’s a 40-foot tall concrete lapis lazuli blue bear peering inside the windows of the 2.2 million square foot state-of-the art complex. Not to worry. He’s there to greet (not scare!) the visitors to the center and one of the over 150 impressive public works of art on display.
Located conveniently in the heart of downtown Denver, the center has nearly 800,000 square feet of exhibit, meeting room and ballroom space plus a 5000 seat theatre. The 38-story Hyatt and the Denver Performing Arts Center are both within walking distance.
