In keeping with the times and the needs of today’s travelers, a 300 million dollar renovation of the nearly 20 acres of land with railroad tracks will be built on and renovated for light and heavy rail tracks for commuters. And yet, to pay tribute to the days of train travel, once a year a steam locomotive pulls a train thru The Union Station in Denver to the city of Cheyenne in the state of Wyoming, as part of Cheyenne Frontier Days and an annual rodeo.
During busier times, more than 80 trains passed daily through the then Romanesque-style Denver Union Station with an impressive 4-faced clock tower keeping everyone on time for their travels.
