Molly Brown was well-known for being “the unsinkable Molly Brown” surviving the demise of the Titanic maiden voyage. The organizers of “Historic Denver, Inc.” have made sure her life is honored at the Molly Brown House Museum located on Pennsylvania Street in Denver.
Over 120 years old, the home has been restored to it’s Victorian splendor to the days when Brown and her husband entertained society types. They built their wealth from coal mining and extended their influence in the areas of labor laws and safety laws aboard ships and planes. Antique appliances, original family photos and personal effects are on display in the impressive mansion, which by the way, is said to be haunted. Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. until the final tour at 3:30 p.m. Guided tours last for 45 minutes and cost $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6-12.
