The neighborhood is blessed with two parks to explore, Garfield Lake Park where you’ll find a baseball field, basketball court, outdoor pool, tennis courts and the opportunity to fish, or Sanderson Gulch Park, where you can cross country ski, snowmobile, sled and ice skate in the winter and take advantage of the horse trails, and go fishing, rafting, and kayaking in the summer. Be inspired while walking around the University of Denver campus in the spectacular setting with views of the mountains.
Food offerings in the area are eclectic and include the Imperial Dragon Chinese Restaurant, for their crispy Sesame Beef, Tofu and vegetable soup, and tasty Pork Lo Mein. For Mexican fare, try the Chicken Mole, Pollo Asada, Pork Taquitos, and fried ice cream at Torres Mexican food where they set a great atmosphere with their live music.
If you visit the area in July, you’ll experience the excitement of the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival where over 50 teams compete in the ancient sport of Dragon Boat Racing.
