Lakewood possesses several places of interest to tourists and attractions.
Belmar downtown is the latest tourist attraction in Lakewood. There are a large number of retail malls and restaurants.
The Laboratory of Arts and Ideas is located in Belmar. It is an exceptional spot of contemporary arts.
Tourists can enjoy lip smacking Mexican food especially at the Casa Bonita restaurant. The restaurant was first founded in 1971 by Bill Waugh. Strolling mariachis, a 30 feet waterfall and flame jugglers are major attractions in this restaurant.
Lakewood Cultural Centre offers art classroom, gallery space and a theatre. Several cultural programs take place in this centre all year round.
The Lakewood Heritage Centre includes several historical buildings. It is located at Kountze Lake.
The Belmar Mansion was initially located in the centre. Bear Creek Lake Park houses a large number of wild animals. The park offers 15 miles of dirt trails, where one can enjoy hiking and biking.
As the name suggests, Lake Park is dotted with three beautiful lakes.
