Colorado has an area of 269,837 sq km and a population of around 4,750,000 people. The state’s capital city is Denver.
Colorado is located in the Rocky Mountain region of the USA. It is bordered by Kansas and Nebraska in the east. In the south lies the rugged San Juan Mountains, while to the west of the mountains lies the Colorado Plateau. The highest point in the state and in the whole of the Rocky Mountains is Mount Elbert at 4400 m.
