Tourist Guide Ouray

The city of Ouray has historic importance and is a county seat of the most populous city in Ouray County. Ouray is a statutory city with a population of 813.  Located in the San Juan Mountains in the southwest of Colorado region.

Ouray is at a distance of 40 miles south of Montrose and approximately 10 miles northeast of Telluride though the drive can be up to 50 miles due to the rigorousness of surroundings.

The city is well connected to Silverton and on the south by Red Mountain Pass which is at a height of 11,000 feet. When the visitors drive along the stretch of Uncompahgre Rive and over the Red Mountain Pass it is popularly nicknamed the Million Dollar Highway.

A few miles away from Ouray, Yankee Boy Basin is located priding itself with beautiful scene known as the Twin falls.
