The ‘Town of Pagosa Springs’ can be referred to as a ‘Home Rule Municipality’ which is one of the county seats of, as well as the sole incorporated municipality located in ‘Archuleta, Colorado, US’. Around 65% of this county consists of either Southern Ute Indian Land or San Juan National Forest.

Pagosa Springs has been situated at a distance of around 56 Km on the northern side of New Mexico, at an elevation of 7000 feet on Continental Divide’s Western Slope. Such a combination of striking Rocky Mountains and high-desert plateau on the eastern and northern side goes on to create an abnormally mild climate, in summer season, in particular, as compared to the southwestern area.

Pagosa Springs stands on San Juan Basin, which is surrounded by three million acres o San Juan National Forest. It is also adjacent to the biggest wilderness region within the nation, i.e. the ‘Weminuche Wilderness’.
