Robert W. Richardson and Cornelius W. Hauck opened the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1959. It is dedicated to preserving a tangible record of Colorado’s flamboyant railroad era and particularly its pioneering narrow gauge mountain railroads, for the future generation. The Pueblo Rail Foundation was formed in 2003 to continue and expand the collections and activities of the Pueblo Locomotive and Rail Historical Society (PLRHS) in 1995.
