Tourist Guide Rocky Mountain National Park
The Rocky Mountain National Park is located in Colorado, USA and is spread over an area of about 1,100 sq km. This is a protected region that was created on 26 January 1915 to preserve the natural habitat of this unique land. The region is home to innumerable variety of plants and animals. It is covered with a lot of lush vegetation that includes pine, tundra and wooded forests. The topography of this area is extremely diverse as there are rivers, several snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes and so forth. It is home to several mountain peaks like the Long Peak and The Diamond that add to the beauty of this locality.
The Rocky Mountain National Park has a cool climate all through the year except July and August which are comparatively warmer. Also, the region is prone to thunderstorms and snowfalls that occur here occasionally.
