Ski areas are a major attraction in Steamboat Springs. Places like Howelsen Ski area, Mount Werner and Yampa River Botanical Park are available for skiing.
A museum that is a historic home and also a library is situated here. It is called Trade of Pioneers Museum. There is also an art gallery which has creations from some established artists and conducts art shows throughout the year.
It is called Steamboat Springs Art Council. Cities that are close to Steamboat Springs are Hayden, Craig and Kremmling.
Every year in the month of February there is a special event held here.It is called the Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival. The special features of this event are Ski races, Ski jumping, Chariot racing, street events and dog sled pull.
After a week of full enjoyment and fun the festival ends with a night show, synchronized skiing demonstrations and lovely fire works.
