The Overland Trail Museum was open to the public in the 1936 in a structure reminiscent of a fort. In time there have been additions to the museum like the Stoney Buttes, a one room school, Concordia church and granary barn. There is also an extensive display of farm machinery in the museum.
One of the recent additions is a replica of the 1900s barber shop, many displays coming from the barber shop in Haxtun Colorado.
