The city of Telluride falls in San Miguel County in Colorado, USA. This city houses a population of around 2,200 and occupies an area of close to 2 sq km. This region was initially inhabited by the Ute Indians; the Europeans settled here later following the discovery of gold in 1858. The town was incorporated in 1878.

The topography of this small city is stunningly captivating. From mountains and forests to waterfalls and rivers, there is a wide variety of natural wonders. Some of the outstanding geographical landmarks are the San Juan Mountains, Bridal Veil Falls and River San Miguel.

The city also boasts a pleasant climate. The average maximum temperature during the summers is around 12°C, and the average minimum temperature during the winters is around 0°C. The economy of Telluride is dependent on its tourism industry, mainly its highly popular ski resorts.
