Tourist Guide Vail

Vail is a city in Eagle County in Colorado, USA. This city was incorporated in 1966 and is home to some 5,000 people. It has a total area of around 12 sq km. The city is surrounded by the White River National Forest which is a popular tourist attraction.

Vail has an extremely diverse landscape with mountains, ponds, rivers, valleys, forests and so forth. The important geographical landmarks are the Vail Mountains, Mount of the Holy Cross and the Gore Creek, which are worth a visit.

The city enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year. The maximum average annual temperature is approximately 10°C, and the minimum average annual temperature is around –5°C. Winters are a great time for enjoying winter sports in the city.

The tourism industry forms the backbone of its economy with the service sector being the other important contributor.
