When to visit
Colorado experiences two main tourist seasons, warm summers and cold winters. Tourists wanting to explore the parks and other scenic wonders can hike, raft or bike in the months from May through October. Snowfall is from late December to early days of March, so for those who love to ski or prefer snowmobiling or snowboarding, a visit to this State can be good too. However, during this time, the museums are all closed. Golf can be enjoyed year round as per the snow and weather conditions, with April to October being the favorable months for golfing followed by major time months of May to September. Travelers wanting to visit the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods can visit the places on off shoulder seasons (March through May and October through mid December) to avoid the crowd. The peak tourist season in summer is from late June till early August, perfect time to experience festivals. After New Year until late January is an excellent time too, to explore the mountain ranges. To avoid the crowd, one can visit early February and enjoy the vacation.
