Branford is located in New Haven County on the Long Island Sound in Connecticut, USA. Before becoming a city, this area was inhabited by the Mattabesech Indians.
Branford has a population of approximately 30,000 and an area of around 73 sq km. The topography of this city includes rivers, ponds, brooks, sandy beaches, beautiful marinas, lush vegetation and pristine waters of the sea, giving it an extremely diverse terrain.
