The Roaring Brook Nature Center
The center is located on a land of 115 acres, there are self-guided trails and interpretive building. The Nature lots of varieties to offer like animals, exhibits, trails, concerts. It can also serve as a holiday destination, vacation programs for the school childrens and such other types. Apart from the public park the center has one Olympic size pool, wading pool, four tennis courts, two basketball courts, one skate park, one bocce ball pit, one volleyball sand court and one soccer field. The center is a member of The Children’s Museum and is open from Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 17:00 PM hours and on a Sunday its 13:00 to 17:00 hours. The rates for non members are, Adults: $5, Kids:$3, Senior Citizens: $4 and the center also has a membership facility.
Canton’s Historical Museum
The museum is at Collinsville, it is located in the structure of the earlier Collins Axe Company which was one of the first axe companies. It displays the 19th century’s general store, post office, printing press and a blacksmith and a barber shop, vehicles its tools and farm implements of those days are also been showcased. During April to November the museum operates on Wednesday to Sunday 13:00 to 16:00 hours, on Thursday it’s 13:00 to 20:00 hours. During December to March it’s Saturday and Sunday 13:00 to 16:00 hours or by prior appointment. The admission fees are Adults: $3, Kids: $1 (ages 6-16) and senior citizen: $2.
