Enfield is a beautiful town situated in Hartford County in Connecticut. The town is on the border with Massachusetts to its north, Longmeadow, East Windsor and Windsor Locks to its south, Somers to its east and Connecticut River and Suffield to its west.
The population as per the 20070 Census was 45,231 people and since 2000, it had a population growth of only 0.04 percent.
Enfield was inhabited originally by the Pocomtuc tribe and had two villages of Nameroke and Scitico. Later on, it was settled in 1679 by settlers from Salem in Massachusetts. The modern town of Enfield was formed through the merging of Enfield, Hazardville and Thompsonville.
