Guilford can be described as a small town located in ‘New haven County’, Connecticut, US. It borders Branford, Madison, Durham, and North Branford. Moreover, it’s located on I-95 along the coast.
Money Magazine, in the year 2005, had named it one amongst the topmost places for living in the US. Founded in the year 1639, this city allegedly contains the 3rd biggest collection of homes of historic importance. These homes remind the visitors of ‘New England’.
Guilford contains 5 historic ‘house museums’, inclusive of Henry Whitfield House, which is the most ancient house within Connecticut. As per US Census Bureau, Guilford’s total area consists of 128.8 sq. Km; out of which 5.39% consists of water. This place’s northwestern side is bordered by Metacomet Ridge, i.e. one of the mountainous traprock ridgelines which go on to stretch between ‘Long Island Sound’ and ‘Vermont Border’. Population as per 2000 census was 21398.
