It is also dammed for having formed ‘Lake Whitney’. Furthermore, it flows from this place to ‘Long Island Sound’. It also has Lake Wintergreen and Quinnipiac River. Average temperature is 32.9 degree F in the month of January. On the other hand, average temperature is 73.6 in the month of July. The weather is quite pleasant. Summer would prove to be the perfect season to visit this place. The population as per 2005 census was 58180. Hamden ranked 33rd in ‘Fortune Magazine’ and ‘CNN Money’ in the list of their ‘best places to live as well as launch’.
