Tourist Guide Milford
Milford is a small city in New Haven County in Connecticut, USA. It is a beautiful city with an area of around 68 sq km and houses a population of approximately 50,000 residents. Milford was incorporated as a city in 1959. Initially, this area was home to the people of the Pangussets tribe. Following which, the English came and settled here in the seventeenth century.
This city’s topography is extremely diverse and unique. Some of its important geographical features are River Wepawang, Long Island Sound, River Housatonic and the Landing Marina. Moreover, Milford has nine such sites that have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Similarly, the Oyster Festival celebrated each year in August draws thousands of tourists.
Milford enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year with July and August being a little warmer. The maximum average annual temperature is around 15°C, and the minimum average annual temperature is 7°C.Explore map
