Tourist Guide Mystic
The city of Mystic is a census designated place located in New London County of the Connecticut region of the United States. The population of the city is 4001. Though Mystic doesn’t have an independent government of its own it is still a historic town.
Mystic is situated inside the Connecticut towns of Groton in the west and Stonington on the east of the Mystic River. Some other nearby historic villages which do not have a local government is Wequetequock, Old Mystic and Noank.
This town has been a major seaport of the region and its maritime history can be found out on visiting the Mystic Seaport which is the world’s largest Maritime museum. Mystic is situated on the Mystic river flowing into the Long Island Sound offering access to the sea.
Another major attraction includes Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration which deals with the rehabilitation of marine life. There are many restaurants and shopping areas across the Mystic River and in the downtown of the town.
