Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration
Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration is an oceanography institute and aquarium located in the Mystic. This is among the only four aquariums in the world to house a male Steller Sea Lion and other exhibits include a bat cave, a penguin exhibit and a ray touch pool. The aquarium also features diagrams, maps and models from the Ballard’s exploration of the wreck of RMS titanic and Black Sea.
Maritime Gallery
The maritime gallery located at the Mystic Seaport is the finest gallery specializing in contemporary maritime ship and art models. The gallery was founded in 1979 and offers its visitors with proud maritime history of the town through the various exhibits and displays.
