North Stonington city is located in New London County in Connecticut, USA. This city, with an area of over 142 sq km, houses a population of around 5,000 permanent residents. It was named in 1724 and incorporated in 1807. However, settlements in this area began as early as the seventeenth century.
North Stonington, containing more than 58 sites of historic importance, has also been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Small manufacturing industries, agriculture, tourism and retail trade are some of the major contributors of this city’s economy.
North Stonington with its farms, hills, streams and ponds enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year. Winters in this city are cool but comfortable, and summers are bright and warm. The maximum average annual temperature is generally around 15°C, while the minimum average annual temperature is approximately 5°C.
