Tourist Guide Norwalk
The city of Norwalk is located in Fairfield County in the state of Connecticut, USA. This city, with an area of 94 sq km, houses a population of around 84,500 people. Initially home to Native Americans, this region was incorporated as a city in the year 1651.
It is a coastal region surrounded by New Canaan, Wilton, Long Island Sound and Darien. The topography of this city is dominated primarily by coastal plains with long stretches of sandy beaches. Oyster farming is the most important commercial activity in Norwalk. Other important contributors to its economy are the manufacturing and food processing industries and the agricultural and tourism sectors.
Norwalk is an excellent place to holiday due to its beautiful landscape, numerous colourful festivals and a pleasant climate. The average temperature in winters in approximately 1°C, and the average summer temperature is around 25°C.
