Southbury, which is located in the east of Brookfield and north of Oxford, is a town situated in western New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The population of the city, according to the census of 2000, was 18,567. The city comprises of historic districts, suburban neighborhoods and the rural country areas. Southbury is situated a short distance from the commercial and major business centers.
