Southington can be described as a town located in county of Hartford, Connecticut, US. It’s, in fact a portion of the first congressional district of Connecticut.

Southington lies at an approximate distance of 20 miles on south-western side of Hartford; around 80 miles on the north-eastern  side of New York City; and around 105 miles on the south-western side of Boston.

Southington is inclusive of regions of Milldale, Marion, and Plantsville. All of these have distinct architecture and post offices of their own. This place happens to rest in valley of 2 mountains on west and east sides.

As per US Census Bureau, area of Southington on the whole comes out to be 94.8 sq. Km; out of which 1.72%25 consists of water. Metacomet Ridge, i.e. one of the rugged traprock mountain ridges which extend between ‘Long Island Sound’ and ‘Vermont/Massachusetts’ passes via Southington.
