The name ‘Tolland’ was given to this town in the month of May, in the year 1715. Incorporation took place in the same month in the year 1722.
In the year 2006, Tolland went on to open a novel ‘high school’; with the objective of supporting increasing number of pupils. This town is expanding with residential and commercial developments as well.
